MOODBOARD MANTRAS

One of my most exciting and fun things to do at the beginning of a new season, or era in my life is to create a moodboard based around how I want to feel and achieve throughout the year. I keep my moodboard in my studio where I look at it everyday and remind myself of my goals and how I want to feel. I have created a series of hand written, brush lettering quotes for you to print out and use on your moodboard! Just click on the image or button below to download them!

HOW TO CREATE AND AWESOME MOODBOARD,
AND ONE THAT MANIFESTS THOSE BIG DREAMS!

1. GO OLD SCHOOL AND USE MAGS!
I love me a good collection of magazines, I think it's the feel of the paper and flicking of the pages that makes it feel real. My faves are Collective Hub and Interior Design Mags. I tear out anything that really jumps out at me, even if you're not quite sure why. Anything that evokes a positive feeling.

2. TRY TO COVER ALL AREAS OF LIFE
So when you're thinking of images and words to include on your moodboard, keep all the key areas of life in mind: friends, family, work, home, relationships, wellness, body & mind, holidays & hobbies.

3. KEEP IT SOMEWHERE YOU SEE IT
No good making a beautiful moodboard if you never see it! Put it somewhere you will see it most days, if not everyday. In your bedroom, next to the mirror, at work?

4. SPEND 5-10 MINUTES A DAY VISUALISING!
This is where the magic happens. Each and everyday I want you to stop, sit in front of your moodboard, pick one of the images that relates to a certain area in your life, and then close your eyes. Actually visualise yourself there, or doing it, most importantly feeling it! How do you feel in this moment, when you have already accomplished that thing or experience? Connecting with the emotion is the key.... if you feel it deep within yourself, like it's already happened, then good old 'Law of Attraction' will kick in and it will find it's way towards you.

5. RELAX AND APPRECIATE
If I have learnt anything over the last year or so about goals, it's that you don't need to white-knuckle them! Being "thirsty" for anything that you want (as Jess Lively says) is actually just repelling them away. The key is being "Appreciative of where we are, and Excited for what's to come". Really bask in the appreciation of NOW. The joy of NOW. If you remain excited and appreciative about everything that is currently in your life, whilst still being excited for the future, the magic will happen and amazing things will come your way that you didn't expect. Remember to keep staying aligned in your actions and DOING the things that bring you joy!

VOILA.
LET THE MAGIC UNFOLD.
