Hey there, Thank you for stopping by to check out my Workshops. I'm Cass, and myself and our team host beautiful group and private workshops which are designed to share my illustration skills, tools and resources to help you learn, create and give you more confidence in working with this beautiful medium. Most of all we have so much FUN!!
A little bit of background info for you.... I am a self-taught hand lettering artist, calligrapher and watercolour painter. Ofcourse Art was my favourite subject at school and I spent many hours at home painting with acrylic on large canvases. My family used to holiday in Noosa every January, and I found myself being so inspired by the coastal life that my paintings always reflected the ocean and that bright summer vibe. During my high school years I 'accidentally' found a love for hand lettering... not that I knew it to be that. Put it this way, you won't find two school note books that have exactly the same hand writing. I would always change my hand writing depending on how I felt that day... haha, call it boredom, I'm not sure, but I just loved experimenting. I never thought much about these doodling and painting skills, as I never thought I could make a career out of being an 'artist'. Fast forward a few (ok, many) years, to about 4 or 5 years ago, I enrolled into Graphic Design and it all clicked, I was able to combine my love of design, illustration and hand lettering all into one. Jackpot! It all started to align. This is when I fell in love with watercolour, and started to perfect my hand lettering craft to bring beautiful designs to the world.
So now I'm here, to teach you the basics of lettering and watercolour. I want to show you that you don't have to go through art-school, or have the neatest hand writing to be creative and explore your artistic side. My workshops are about learning new skills, whether it be for professional or personal use. They are also about explanding your mind, letting go, meeting new people, and embracing new experiences. We can't wait to meet you and share this journey with you. xCass
